Terason Integration – Providing Ultrasound Imaging for Surgical Procedures
NOMOS® Radiation Oncology - Serial Tomotherapy
NOMOS/ NAS: Serial tomotherapy IMRT and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), along with brachytherapy and standards and sources product lines are part of the NOMOS Radiation Oncology, a division of North American Scientific, technology offerings. The Company's technology is employed by hospitals and radiation therapy clinics around the world.
BAT® (B-mode Acquisition and Targeting) IGRT provides fast ultrasound localization of a treatment target on a daily basis, reducing the need for large target margins traditionally used to compensate for errors in localization. BATCAM™, the latest release of NOMOS' IGRT technology, partners an ultrasound probe with an optical camera mounted in the ceiling of a radiation therapy treatment suite. Its breakthrough ImageSync™ technology allows real-time, interactive alignments of treatment plans with patient anatomy, allowing the user to position the treatment plan to match patient anatomy in one step, across an entire target volume. BATCAM is easy to maneuver due to its weight and pivoting wheel assembly and is battery-enabled for cordless transport between treatment rooms.
BATCAM is compatible with all treatment planning systems and is currently being used in conjunction with serial tomotherapy IMRT and conventional therapies in the treatment of prostate, breast, pancreas and liver cancer.
